INTERNAL & EXTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids, (haemorrhoids - UK spelling) also known as piles, are swollen and/or inflamed veins in the rectum and anus. Some are found inside the anus. These are called internal Hemorrhoids. Others are found protruding around the anus and are known as external hemorrhoids. Sometimes a person may have both internal and external hemorrhoids. The picture on the right shows both internal and external hemorrhoids. Thankfully, there are ways that we can say goodbye to hemorrhoids.

How Common are Hemorrhoids?
At some point in time in our lives, almost every person in the world suffers with either internal or external hemorrhoids or both. You should therefore know as much about them as possible. So generally speaking, irregular bowel movements, and imbalanced diet, and anything that causes undue stress in the area, can be the cause of internal and external hemorrhoids.
What are the Symptoms of Hemorrhoids?
You may have hemorrhoids right now and yet you may not know it. The most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids is bright red blood accompanying the stool. Hemorrhoids that bleed are known as thrombosed hemorrhoids. If you have internal or external hemorrhoids, then the passing of stool causes irritation, pain and itching. Sometimes these occurrences are not dangerous and the symptoms may go away in a few days.
If, however, the symptoms persist then the hemorrhoids (internal or external) must be treated to avoid further deterioration and additional complications.
